The quality of a decision is completely explained by the quality of the explanation that went into making the decision

• Judging the quality of a decision by it’s outcome is called “resulting”.
  • There is a link between resulting and instrumentalism. In both cases, the quality of what you want to judge is substituted with a consequence:
    • Instrumentalism is about taking the applicable parts (maths)of a scientific argument but not the whole explanation.
    • Resulting is about taking the outcome of an decision but not what went into it.
